That no vote is not going to go over well in Texas at this point in time. Look for some changes to the house in 2024. I think in the senate as well. Let's see how republican Texas senators vote.

Let it be known that nobody is arguing against actual COVID financial relief.
It's all the other bullshit in the 1.9 Trillion bill that doesn't need to be there.
If the bill were just about extended unemployment benefits and the $1,400 stimulus checks, and perhaps some money for vaccination programs and small businesses, it would come in under 20 pages.
How many pages is this new bill again?

The big sticking point with Manchin was the minimum wage part. That has now been removed from the bill. I guess we'll see.

Do you have an article stating clearly that they removed it from the bill?
Any article I've read says it's still in there despite the fact the Senate Parliamentarian said that it wouldn't be accepted, which just means they're intentionally putting something in there that will slow the process of a bill being passed to make a point. (And there's zero chance that there already won't be at least a few weeks lapse in unemployment benefits for nearly 20 million Americans if it's signed into law by March 14th, despite the Legacy Media lying to the contrary, so they're playing games with millions of American's lives).
I see that they're working on a "Plan B" regarding $15, but they still have left it in the bill that the House passed yesterday.

I think this iz an opportunity for the Demz.
Let the GoPs take the minimum waje out. Get the relief bill passed ASAP.
Both will make good commercialz for the 2022 and 24 electionz.
But also immediatley start a stand alone minimum waje bill. Insted uv being a lame gradual faze in, make it immediate or within a few months!
They can then start collecting video uv the GoPs arguing agenst it and mix that in with them falling all over each other in their rush to pass tax cuts for the welthy over the last 30 yirz.
