I hope you like Primer. It's a bit of an underground cult hit at this point, but most people aren't even aware it exists. I saw it back in my drinking days but totally forgot all about it since I'm sure I didn't get it at all back then.

It really is a shame about the audio quality though. I'd love to see somebody come and re-dub the voices so they weren't drowned out by ambient sounds or even the music tracks that are used. I really can't stress the subtitles enough.* If you look it up on youtube, there are a lot of people who did a point by point breakdown of everything that happens.

I heard the same things about Batwoman. It hasn't even been cracking half a million viewers the last few weeks. I can't believe that they're still even considering filming a third season even though they're cancelling it. How are they even paying for it?

Ha-ha, you know what ? I've already SEEN Primer. Or at least, I started watching it, and I guess I didn't finish it, or I forgot about it.

Maybe I'll get around and give it another shot.

Funny thing about Batwahman, is that it's struggling to get 500K views, and yet the Equitylizer , Queen Squeefa herself, is getting 6-8 million ?

Who is less believable at kicking a bunch of white thugs in a fight...

A little girl who was living in a van, down by the river, who steals someone else's tactical vigilante suit, or a 50 yr old lady with zero military or hand to hand combat training ?

Really man... You've got to try it with subtitles. I'm not even hard of hearing (yet), but it's damn near impossible to follow without them. As much as I knock on Hollywood, there is something real to say about great Direction and sound editing.

I think the movie will be entirely different for you if you can read the dialog as it happens and really follow along. It's already a very complex movie that would probably benefit from multiple viewings if this weren't a problem.

And when you think you've got it, I'd recommend going on youtube for "Primer Explained" and watching one of the videos where they lay it all out and illustrate it and see how close you were to having actually followed what really went on.

You probably have no idea how much of it you actually missed just due to the technical issues and through no fault of your own. I've heard a bit about what the guy who made it had to say about the movie and how he intentionally did not want to insult his desired audience by dumbing down any dialog for mass appeal. A noble goal for sure, but part of me wonders if he might have intentionally made the sound quality worse than it needed to be to make it even more enigmatic? Perhaps he's the Kurt Cobain of low-budget cinema? (I've heard no such thing, but it is a possibility that was his intent and it was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard a bit about him).

It's not on my top 10 list, but it's not too far off it. As far as Time Travel movies go I hold it in very high regard despite the obvious flaws due to the budget.

I have no idea at all what that second show you're talking about even is, but it sounds unintentionally hilarious.

Oh, The Equalizer?

It first was a show in the 80's , I believe.

A retired Intelligence Agent turned private detective helps various threatened clients to equalize the odds.

Then there was the movie, with Denzel Washington. Pretty damn good.

A man who believes he has put his mysterious past behind him cannot stand idly by when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters.

Now, 2021, Queen Latifah plays the role as " The Equalizer "

Man....

I just can't imagine her, at her age, helping anybody with her "powers" unless she was playing some sort of Mrs. Cleo mystic type.

She's 51 years old and 200 lbs man. I hate to be crass, but she wouldn't have an easy time fighting off severe symptoms of covid. Seriously. Who buys this shit?

I don't have anything negative to say about her character in real life. She'd always just kind of been around the pop culture scene when I was growing up, and I don't remember ever hearing her say anything offensive to anyone.

It's not her fault that I'm getting a good laugh out of this. It's all the people who thought this show would be a good idea. By all means, do your thing girl. Take the money and run and laugh 10 times as hard as the haters.
