You are right the true "Smokey and the Bandit" was good fun but the others sucked.

I still have some CB radios. They are useful for road trips, but other than truckers, not a lot of people still use them.

I recall that the following year Pontiac Trans Ams had a record year of sales. Butt was promised a gift of a new one. But GM reneged on the promise, he never got one. Ungrateful SOBs.
