The number of times I start a topic about Russia you can probably count on the fingers of one hand.
By comparison, RUSSIA!!! seems to be a favorite topic for you, THUGR, and KPO.
You bring it up spontaneously in post after post, thread after thread.
RUSSIA!! PUTIN!! TROLLS!!
That's ANOTHER topic which seems to occupy a vast amount of your mental space.
Quote:So I suppose we can't expect to see any examples of that "false info" about Hillary and Trump any time soon, and no numbers attached to this "russian influence" in the #walkaway moment that you keep harping about?
Sorry, I skipped the rest of your post.
Yeah, I thought not.

Signym wants to talk about feelings and walk away and opinions and what Signym claims she wrote and what she actually meant, but once in while Signym ought to talk about something real and provable and completely the fault of Republican control:
The Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy has tallied up the results of all the Republican tax cuts since 2000 and concluded that most of it went to the rich. The average rich household today pays nearly $100,000 less in taxes per year than they would under the Clinton-era tax code, while the working and middle classes pay about $1,000 less.
Total taxes paid in 2018 are about $600 billion less than they would be if we had just left the tax code alone. That’s nearly the entire federal deficit projected for this year.
Just to make sure you get that: Republican tax cuts since 2000 are responsible for nearly the entire federal deficit. Repeal them all and the budget would be almost balanced.

Signym gets for voting Republicans into power is an every growing richer upper class and an ever growing national debt.

And, as usual, SECOND has "misstated" my POV.
If you want to talk about tax policy, government spending, and national debt, which are all intensely interesting interrelated topics, please link a thread where this/these topics has/have been started (I'm sure there must be one, or two, or ten that you've already started) and I will follow you there. Or start another thread if you want, I don't care, just be sure to make clear to me that's where you want to discuss.

Quote:How about this POV: you are lying sack of shit on daily basis? How is conversation even possible with you when at any moment you will metamorph? There is no stable you, Signym. You are just a bundle of impulses and grievances and opinions all beautifully wrapped up in over-articulation. There is no solid Signym, actually connected to a world that everyone here would recognize, to something real and provable like the national debt being run ever upwards by Republicans. Signym, you are a greased pole, a slippery eel, smoke and mirrors. But the GOP shows the exact same disconnect from reality. Politics is all a game for them where they are running up the number of voters for themselves and running down numbers for Democrats with gerrymandering, filibusters, judicial review, vote suppression, cable news propaganda, etc.

I guess it is to be expected since there isn't any umpires at fireflyfans.net to call fouls on Signym and throw you out of the game or fine you for cheating.

Hmmm....
Well, I find tax policy, debt, and government spending an endlessly fascinating topic, a topic for which THERE ARE NO EASY ANSWERS because every action has unintended consequences.
I think I could reasonably argue that Obama's national debt legacy was about as bad as GWB's, but OTOH Obama borrowed during a deep recession while GWB created this debt legacy during a so-called boom. Both, however, pale in comparison to FDR (on a percent-of=GDP basis).
I personally don't think there's a fundamental problem with temporarily increasing the national debt, depending on
1) How the government borrows its money. It would be far better for the government to simply PRINT more money, but instead, it borrows money at interest by selling Treasuries, which creates a continuing demand for MORE MONEY.
2) What the government chooses to spend the money on. If all it's going to do is be a hostage to pharmaceutical companies and weapons manufacturers, that's not a good use of money.
3) Whether of not the "inflated dollars" have a negative impact on import prices.
So like I said, it's complicated. Overall, I do NOT approve of trickle-down tax cuts. Been tried over and over, still doesn't work to improve the economy altho it DOES make wealthy people richer. So, if you're looking for a vote on whether or not I'm for this particular tax cut, offhand I'd say "against".

It's like fake social media accounts that seem human. We should all be outraged by this - where's your indignation
It would be better to respond to people's statements, and not to what you imagine they're feeling or thinking (or not feeling, or thinking).
So you don't like it when someone treats you like you treat them??? I guess we can add "Stone Cold Hypocrite" to your resume. You do that "presumption without knowledge" crap all the time.
So, here's your chance to clarify: are you outraged by Russia's intrusion into our election and use of fake social media accounts to influence voters?

Outraged is too strong of a word. Disapproving is better

So you agree with the Senate that the Russians did interfere with our election? That's quite a confession, coming from you.

You wear a mask in real life to hide your identity.
I can't imagine how much you'd dislike the Internet that would be required to prevent you from reading articles created by non-American entities on Facebook going forward.

EDIT: Decided to put your post here since you enjoy changing your old posts constantly, and what I'm currently quoting is different than the post you had up here 3 minutes ago.
