For the first time ever, an Israeli jet was shot down. Israel needs to rethink whether it still has air superiority.

Air supremacy is a position in war where a side holds complete control of air warfare and air power over opposing forces. And that my fried would be Israel and the U.S. The Russian air force watched these two raids from the ground. I would add, from inside bunkers.

They could unload their arsenal at any moving military or political target in Syria. And then purchase gobs of new armament and munitions to resupply.

From what I've read, air defense is composed of 'bubbles' of protected space, it's not a continuous country-wide defense. Though that may be re-thought.
