Haken owns the site...it was once an Andromeda fan site, a scifi tv series Andromeda Gene Roddenberry, developed by Robert Hewitt Wolfe starred actors Kevin Sorbo....that show went to crap and then Fox aired Firefly.... and people on here began to like 'Firefly' better, this was soon after the 911 Attacks so naturally some discussions would feature politics....some were deep fans of Whedon, some were casual fans, some hated Buffy but loved Firefly, some liked Firefly but hated the Serenity movie.....I am considered one of the 'old timers' but I only caught Firefly later on DVD...and firefly had elements of politics in it 2002–2003.... a guy Pirate News came on the site a 'browncoat' from TN and started posting all kinds of conspiracy, Aliens, Jews, Zionist, French, British Lizard, UFO Flat Eath Truther crap this was at a time Bush was saying 'youre either with us or with the terrorists'....some people complained about Piratenews...wanted his posts shut down, but Haken left the posts go free....its a Firefly site owned by Haken and sometimes features discussion on other scifi like Avengers or Buffy or the Aliens Franchise or Agents of Shield or the new thing at ComicCon....but its Haken's baby....and that's about all you need to know

Thanks second. I recall a popup showing up last year incase there were problems with the site. If you clicked on it it opened up an email you could send. I forget to who but it was an agency. It did not refer us to Haken. I thought the site was sold at that point.

Do you or anyone else recall this and if so, do you know what that was about?
