The way it works, IN COURT, is that you can only file a civil suit for damages. Civil suits operate on the basis of "no harm, no foul", so unless the aggrieved party can tally up actual damages the court will refuse to even hear the case.

In order for a libel suit to be successful, you would have to show that someone posted, or said, defamatory statements against a known entity (person or business) which resulted on actual lost money or lost reputation (which could lead to lost money).

Libel is knowingly spreading false/ untrue/ defamatory about such an entity.

Now, the reason why G's butt puckered is because he didn't understand the limits of libel lawsuits. But there is one thing he DID understand: that he (and THUGR, KPO, and occasionally SECOND and WISHY) WERE spreading untrue and defamatory statements about me, statements which I have repeatedly told them were untrue, and for which they had no evidence at all, just a sheer malicious intent to harm. And that is saying, or implying, that I'm a "Russian" troll. We may argue whether or not I'm a troll, but there is nothing "Russian" about me, which is provable in court.

So, FOR THE RECORD, if I should be doxed and suffer reputational harm as a result, that concept of having been maligned as a "Russian" troll? That's still out there.

So stop calling me a "Russian" troll, stop implying that I'm here at the behest of Russia, and you're golden. Yanno, just be honest. It's a pretty low bar to meet.

ON THE OTHER HAND, threatening to destroy someone personally and professionally by whatever means possible because you don't like their political opinion? .... well, that's veering into CRIMINAL behavior, which is another thing all together.

Or maybe not. Maybe you think they're both the same. If so, tell me why.
