People 65 and older have long been solidly Republican, serving as reliable voters who can be counted on to not only turn out more than other blocs, but also do so with less effort on the part of campaigns. Their support was evident in both the 2010 and the 2014 midterm elections, when the GOP won these voters by 21 and 16 points respectively. So, too, was it visible in the last two presidential elections, as senior voters backed Mitt Romney by 12 and Donald Trump by eight points.
However, in 2018 the GOP managed to win voters 65 and older by just two points.
There are signs that this is not a fluke, and that the Trump era has caused senior citizens to abandon the GOP in numbers big enough that could produce huge electoral consequences for both congressional Republicans and Trump alike.

The problem with Trump’s explanation is that if he really believed that all he was up against was crazed and irrational hostility, why would he back down? What happened to his famous counter-punch?
It turns out that the president who never tires of expressing his contempt for alliances, is becoming increasingly aware that if he loses his GOP allies on Capitol Hill, he’s advancing towards impeachment.
In that event, he probably won’t receive Nixon’s fig leaf of an honorable departure: a red carpet to the presidential helicopter, followed by a final Air Force One trip back to his family home.
The reason Trump dropped his Florida resort as the next G7 venue is the opposite to the one he tweeted. The switch was actually prompted by irate Republicans.

It's not about page counts JO. It's about posting what I see as pertinent information that's being reported. On topics I deem relevant. Facts that show what the trolls are posting here is bullshit.
That said, I'm not getting into a back and forth with the trolls. It's very rare that I respond to anything they post. It's been year after year with nothing but bullshit posts from them. I already know what they'll say because I've heard it all before. I post updated facts that are in the news. Truths that expose their aversion to posting the truth.
I rarely go to threads created by trolls because I don't wish to engage with them. Why would I. All they do is lie and troll.
When I see you or G start a thread I try to stop by. I try and post something supportive of you and move on. It appears for the most part both you a G do the same. Only SECOND shows a real interest in going back and forth with them consistently.
