Trump, Barr and others have employed a double-barreled approach: first, loudly misrepresent Mueller's findings ("No Collusion," "No Obstruction," "Total Exoneration") and second, count on the American public to not bother reading the 400-plus page report. For the months since the public release of the Mueller report, it's been so far, so good. But now -- with Mueller set to testify under subpoena in Congress on July 17 -- time is almost up on Trump and Barr's prolonged public campaign of distortion and denial.

Donald Trump has personally accused former Special Counsel Robert Mueller of committing a crime, claiming he deleted sensitive information during his Russia investigation. The president did not produce any evidence whatsoever to back up the assertion.
Anchor Maria Bartiromo barely managed to ask a question of the president, mostly responding “wow” to Trump’s various attacks. Trump’s targets included but weren’t limited to: Mueller, Joe Biden, China, Europe, Google, Twitter, and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. He also issued a threat to Japan, where he’s due to visit this week.
As usual, Trump was at his angriest when discussing Mueller.

Trump impeachment vote fails overwhelmingly

House Democrats overwhelmingly joined Republicans on Wednesday to defeat an attempt to impeach President Donald Trump. But 58 Democrats supported the bid to consider impeachment over the objections of House Democratic leaders, who viewed the measure as a distraction in a Republican-controlled Congress.
The motion to sideline the measure — killing the effort — was approved 364-58, with four Democrats voting present.
The vote was forced by Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), who introduced articles of impeachment. “Now is not the time to consider articles of impeachment,” Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer said in a joint statement, shortly after Green introduced his articles of impeachment.

Federal judge orders documents released in Trump hush money probe as investigation winds down
Federal prosecutors have ended their investigation into the Trump Organization's involvement in hush-money payments to two women who alleged they had affairs with President Donald Trump, according to court documents filed in a New York court on Wednesday.
The conclusion of the investigation prompted the judge in the case to order prosecutors to release unredacted documents related to the raid of former Trump attorney Michael Cohen's home in April 2018, including copies of the warrant, warrant applications and supporting affidavits.
Typically, prosecutors do not announce the conclusion of an investigation that doesn't result in formal charges being filed. News of the probe's conclusion came in the judge's order to release unredacted versions of the documents. ...
"The campaign finance violations discussed in the Materials are a matter of national importance," a federal judge wrote in his order, denying the government's request for limited redactions. "Now that the Government's investigation into those violations has concluded, it is time that every American has an opportunity to scrutinize the Materials."
