I read somewhere, about a month or two back, that Ford was looking to build their small cars in Mexico and that they were to build or refurbish their plants in Detroit for trucks and that no jobs would be lost. It had nothing to do with Trump.
The Ford chief executive also set the record straight on American jobs, clarifying that “no U.S. jobs are going overseas.”
Trump is THE biggest Bullshit Artist in the northern hemisphere, and his followers fall for his bullshit. It's sad really!

Trump — who is leading the Republican presidential field in some polls — cited a factually incorrect story from an obscure blog called “Printly” on Sunday and reiterated it today. It’s not clear whose behind the site that only went up a few months ago.
“Do you think I will get credit for keeping Ford in U.S. Who cares, my supporters know the truth. Think what can be done as president,” Trump wrote in one tweet that was retweeted and favorited 6,000 times.
“Word is that Ford Motor, because of my constant badgering at packed events, is going to cancel their deal to go to Mexico and stay in U.S.,” Trump wrote in another tweet.
Trump voters should know that the actual amount of time it took to find this story by googling “ford closing factories” was 30 seconds. If Trump voters don’t have two minutes to read the story, they will be cheated by Trump.

Listening to the 'Car Pros' radio show I learned some interesting things. The recent decrease in gas prices has encouraged more people to look at, and buy, more large SUVs and heavy duty pickup trucks. Looking to capitalize on this brief respite in their declining popularity (and because they are overall more expensive than your basic mpg econobox), US auto mfgs have bumped up production, advertising, and sales incentives for large SUVs and trucks.
Do YOU expect these low gas prices to last much longer? Me neither.
ONCE those low mpg behemoth sales drop - and due to gas prices they WILL drop! - cheap little econoboxes will be back in style. (A caveat I feel shouldn't have to add, and yet need to include - assuming the global economy hasn't tanked and we and the Russians haven't nuked the planet.)
And when Ford cuts back on its US production of behemoths - where will its surviving econobox manufacturing be then? scroll for answer
