Awesome. Extremely well done, and a fair amount of crossover with Daredevil and Jessica Jones. As expected, they all take place on Manhattan, during the same time period.

Going from what I see in the series, I can tell they made more than a couple of homages to the comics. Which , par for most of these things, I've never read.

As much a fan of Krysten Ritter as I am, I still may have to rate Luke Cage a tad better than Jessica Jones, as a series. Daredevil , of the 3 , I'd rate tops, but to be honest, all 3 are right in the same ball park.

Sidenote: The comic version of the story have some romantic story lines involving the characters which, from what I've seen on the t.v. series, I hope they don't follow. Not that it matters much, but there's a whole backstory to these ' heroes' that has already been addressed in the comics,so I guess that's where it'll end up, eventually.

I'm only 7 episodes in but I'm liking it so far. I liked Jessica Jones the most of all three shows though. I liked the more psychological/suspense angle of it than the other two shows. They're all well made though. I'm pretty impressed. By comparison Agents of SHIELD is garbage. Though I still watch that as well.

I have two episodes to go, will watch at least one of them today. I'll wait til then to say which of the series I like the most, but I agree it is awesome. Loving Luke and Misty, and even though she's a shitty character, Alfre Woodard is great as Mariah. Also like Rosario Dawson in every scene in all the shows. Clare is just as much a hero as any of them.

I liked JJ a bit more than DD. I liked Karen and Foggy as characters more than Matt, mainly because it was so unrelentingly dark and brutal through all the fights. I've still only seen the first episode of DD's second season, so I can't say anything about Frank Castle, but I'm sure I will get around to it eventually.

I've slowly lost interest in SHIELD over last season. I haven't even seen any of the current episodes.

I've enjoyed all of the Netflix shows, with the Punisher portion of DD my favorite.

Anyone familiar with the comics? Can you answer this question?

Does Misty Knight have a special power, or is her visualization technique just similar to Sherlock's "Mind Palace"?

IIRC, she doesn't have any special powers in the comics, she is just a superb detective. But it's been a looong time since I've read any, they might have changed things lately.

I did a few searches after I asked that question. It seems she had a bionic arm in the comics (provided by Tony Stark) after a bombing incident, and it's possible that was foreshadowed by events in this series. She is reportedly going to be back in The Defenders, and maybe even before that, since at one time she was involved with Danny "Iron Fist" Rand.

Daredevil - Jessica Jones - Luke Cage. As they were released.

Now, there's nothing mandatory in watching ALL Daredevil, then ALL of Jessica Jones before diving into the Luke Cage season. At this point, their major plot lines run fairly separate, but there's at least one unifying thread between them, and a bunch of one line references to either one or the other , as well as the running occasional reference to ' The Incident ' in NYC, and associated parties involved. Shouldn't take long to figure out

This is a rather ambitious project too. Along w/ the 3 series out already, there's 2 more off shoots coming, and then they'll ALL tie in , Avengers style, for The Defenders, which I'm not sure if it'll be a movie or it's own series. I'm purposefully trying to not get too far ahead, so that I can enjoy what's out now. I just try not to get my hopes up too far in advance, as sometimes that can lead to undue expectations. But that's just me.

See, this is why I cringe at the idea of what's 'canon' in the comics. Seriously, these heroes get " involved " with EVERYBODY - friends and enemies alike... it's soap opera garbage ! That's when they're not dying, being returned to life, or there's an entire different timeline - reality - etc... it gets WAY too confusing and messy for a t.v. series or movie.

What may work out best is there being shown an interest between characters, but then something happens, and they never really get to the part where they're a couple, but those feelings linger on, for future story twists and such. Or they could just SAY they hooked up, and not show it... I dunno. So much going on in so few episodes, there's just not much screen time to show relationship stuff ...save for an occasional gratuitous sex scene. Always time for one or two of those.
