Actually, I'm pretty sure that Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam collaborated before those bands were even made to make one of the most beautiful Rock Songs ever made, well before the DOW ever hit 12,000 pts....
Whether that's true or not, just back in the glory of Pearl Jam + Chriss Cornel and one of the best songs ever made.....

The DOW wasn't that big a beast when I made my money....
People bitched for years that 14k was too much and it never should have gotten that high......
To be honest, I made 20k buying Google shares at 150 a piece and selling at nearly 600 a share..... :)

Personally, I believe that Endless Summer Nights is of the same calibur, even though anyone who's worked in Retail has heard it enough times they'd like to kill it until it was forever dead....
Richard Marx just happened to be popular and all of his other songs, like this one, were played ad-nausem, even years later in almost any retail job.
It's a shame though....
Richard Marx was just a cheap knockoff of Kenny Loggins....
I remember my Girlfriends' roomate making fun of me as the "Marxist" because I bought 3 albums by Richard Marx at College fairs around their place until I found "Endless Summer Nights" to share with Dawn.
It also took me 2 albums to find Def Leppard "Love Bites", but that's another story.....
Anna would tell you about how I paid her to take her boyfriend out to the movies one night so me and Dawn could have the room by ourselves. I sang and danced with Her to "God Must Have Spent" by 98 degrees.
I'm quite sure that I still underestimate how easy it is for me to have sex with my looks and intelligence today.

I feel pity for them. They will NEVER make anything This beautiful again....
Also, they're like 10 years older than they were back then too....
They made something truly beautiful in 2006 or 7 though....
A modern day song that screamed old-school Beach Boys greatness, whether they wanted it or not.
Only "Foreigner" could empathize with them. After Foreigner made "I wanna know what love is", they could NEVER compare to that masterpiece, and were doomed to obscurity shortly afterward.
