Star Wars might have trouble beating this one, what with Fathers day ticket sales next week too...

Age of Ultron moved up to #5 with Skyfall moving off list to #11
Jurassic World is #291 and moving upward fast, eventually into the Top Ten List.
Ticket Sales in $ millions are not adjusted for inflation, else 1977's Star Wars would be #1 rather than #53 with #54 being 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy.

1 Avatar $2,788.0 2009
2 Titanic $2,186.8 1997
3 Marvel's The Avengers $1,518.6 2012

7 Frozen $1,274.2 2013
8 Iron Man 3 $1,215.4 2013

Well, I was wrong. Jurassic World beat the opening weekend of Ultron.

I was meh on Ultron, might watch it again one of these days, but I still have no interest in JW.

I was really impressed with Jurassic World. It's actually a better film than Age of Ultron if you ask me. Sure there's a few just bad scenes. There are quite a few cheesy lines that didn't land the way they likely intended, but the movie is just a straight forward popcorn flick and it nails that. I never thought Jurassic World would have a chance against an Avengers movie after the first one did so well, but at this point I'll be surprised if Jurassic World doesn't win.

I will be waiting for both on DVD. I'd rather spend the money to own the film than pay the price of a DVD to see it once in the theaters. It's a plan that works well for me. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and so on.

Jurassic World did better than I expected. I finally went and saw it, after the initial weekend, and was a bit surprised. It was better than I was expecting.

They still don't treat T. Rex w/ the due respect as they should, but at least they get it close to being right.

I'm afraid the numbers crown the undisputed winner. The rest is based on conjecture and personal biases.

I shall enjoy them both.

This is the movie that's going to take it all. I hope they do an extended trailer.
