Well... Today was productive. It's 9:30 now and I'm just wrapping up.
I got the casings on all of the doors except for the three in the hall that will require some "persuasion". I'm going to have to pull out the table saw in the garage and make some rips for them because there's not enough room before they butt up to the adjoining walls. I'm sure I can make it all look good, but it's going to take some creative measures.
I also re-installed the closet doors. That was much more work than I thought it would be, but now that everything is in place I can take them down and clean them up before I paint them. One of them is badly damaged on the bottom where the peg is supposed to sit, so I'm going to have to rebuild that part as well so the door is as high as the other one.
I was hoping to at least get one of the doors primered today before calling it quits, but I'm worn out and kind of irritated at a few things so I'm just going to finish up for the night. I've got to get a lot more done the next few days so I can do a proper inventory and figure out what I'm going to need for the rest of the work.

Gotta put a small bucket of drywall patch on my list of things to get. Watched a great video on how to patch hollow core doors. All I need is some cardboard/newspaper, spray foam and the patch and I'm good. Already have the other stuff. 
I might make a trip there early tomorrow and buy everything else I wanted to get except for the trim. I can always go back later in the week for that when I know how much more I'll need.

Got my shopping list together for the big box store. Going to be dropping at least $160 today on a lot of various stuff, but I'll get about $60 back in rebates.
One of the things I'm buying is a new shop vac that is on sale. The one I "fixed" is acting up again. I think the 3-in-1 oil leaked out and it's grinding now. I'm going to also be buying some grease and see if that fixes it before I open the new one. I still might keep the 2nd one anyhow though since it's half the size of my construction grade beast and it would be easier to move around in my house while doing work.
I'm also going to look for the wood I need to frame the insides of the windows on top of the sills and before the casings go up. I don't know what that part of a window is called, and trying to search for that wood online is futile. Shouldn't cost too much though.

At this end, the car passed smog! I guess there IS truth to the rumor that having your battery die will cause all setpoints to "reset" to factory defaults!
That WAS going to be my "project" car that was going to teach me about car repair (I'm already pretty good at dxing problems) but in reality I already have too many projects and not enuf energy and time. Besides, I've already set my sights on learning a couple of handy skills that complement hubby's instead reproducing them, one of which is sewing, plus just getting the basics of command-line computer maintenance will keep me busy for quite a while! So for auto/small equipment repair and home repair I'm going to be a trusty helper and set my sights on other things.
Wish I could get some things to you in a cost-effective manner, SIX! We just gave away a 16-gal shop vac because it was taking up too much space! But, the shipping would be ridiculous.

No worries.
Bought a $2.99 tub of grease and I'm going to see if I can fix the old 12 gallon vac. I'm not going to bury myself in projects today since it's already 2PM over here, but I think I'm going to work on the vac, start fixing a few of the doors to get them all ready for painting and do all of my rebates. I just found out today that I missed the last 11% sale, and all that trim I bought is still on sale, so I got the price match rebate form and I'm going to get another 11% off the already rediculously low price I paid for it. 
I was going to buy 1"x4"x8' lengths of pine that were on sale to rip my window sills but I found 1"x3"x8' furring strips that have rounded edges already. I won't have to rip them like I would the 4" pieces. They're not intended for finish work, but I spent 10 minutes picking out the two best pieces and now I'll just have to sand them down by hand and paint them before I start making my cuts. No ripping or routing required.
I also bought a bunch of 8' lengths of 1/2" by 1 1/2" strips that were on clearance for under two bucks. Those will build the sides of the window and the top of them over the sills and behind the casings. Much better than the $5 per strip of the pine that isn't on sale.
Oh... and I found a countersink drillbit set on clearance for $10 too. So that means I'm going to find the missing pieces to my old set as soon as I open it up.

Oh... and glad you passed the smog test.
That's a little trick I learned years ago. My car today actually doesn't have a problem passing the emissions test, but contrary to popular belief, all you have to do to pass it is unplug the battery for about 15 minutes to reset the computer. Some computers will require a bit of driving and doing things like starting quickly, stopping quickly and an assortment of other scenarios before they remove the "newly reset" flag that will make you fail the test, so on a couple of cars that wouldn't pass the test regularly, I'd just hit the expressway and drive like an idiot for about 15 minutes before going to the testing station and passing. As long as you get there before the check engine light comes back on your golden.
Glad it worked out for you and you didn't get hit by the newly reset flag.

It will be a very soggy New Years eve where I am but since I will be in there are no worries.
Flipside got quite a bit accomplished today. Got a picture frame that I am putting friends photos into. Also reorganized some books meaning binning them as I have read them and where they were, they were in my way. Some paper recycling done and another box got rid of. Took the wobbly shelf down and now have to see if I can find another shelf for the items that were and are on it. Also vacuuming done.
Now tired.

No rain here either Brenda! I did just check my unofficial ball-jar rain gauge and between the last 2 storms I got around 3.5". So far so good for us! I hope it keeps up into 2020.
