I hope it didn't start raining until AFTER you got home!
*****
Busy busy busy here. I've only managed to get out to do yardwork a couple of days since it cooled down, I've been tied up helping hubby get ready for his upcoming surgery. I keep thinking all I need to do is X, Y, and Z and then I can get outside, but some other demand always seems to pop up.
well, I did make three pints of garden tomato sauce, cooked down to about half, for later in the year. It'll be nice to get fresh-tasting tomato sauce in winter. Now I gotta get cracking.
oh BTW BRENDA, we started the first episode of season 7 of Shetland yesterday, woo hoo! I don't know if you've seen it yet so I don't want to post any spoilers but when it becomes available there and you can talk about it, let me know!

My friend's dad wasn't feeling well today and didn't come by. He probably won't be here tomorrow either, and then I'm out helping dehoard and mousify the house again after that. Oh well... There's always next week.
I got all the jambs broke, primered and painted with 2 coats of high gloss white. I think I will give it a light scuff sand tomorrow morning and put another coat on them. And once they dry I'll start painting door/window casings since I'm all set up in the garage for that now. It's awesome painting in the garage with all that light.
I mowed the lawn today, which was nice. I didn't think I'd get a chance to do that until next week sometime. It needed it.
I also got the 2x6 backer boards up behind where I will be mounting a TV out in the porch today out of 6 pieces of value wood I bought yesterday.
I think I'll clean the shed real good after I get the final coat of paint on the jambs tomorrow so I can paint the studs on the wall that meets the porch (where the TV backer board is installed). I want to give them a few coats so they look nice before I put up insulation. That will be huge, because that insulation has taken up so much room since late 2019 and it will finally be up where it belongs.

I got rained on going to mah jong and through my errands. It stopped after I got home.
Cool for you. I found the 1st episode of Series 7 of Shetland on YouTube a while ago and watched it. But no one has posted the other episodes but I am keeping an eye out for them.
It was a great relief to see Jimmy back on the job. Sad about his dad though and Tosh is a mum.

I'm off to work in the morning most likely in the rain. So. I'll see everyone later.

Quote:I like that Jimmy's character seems to have regained his equilibrium. Duncan will have changed quite a bit when he gets out, tho. I wonder if he'll really leave. I hope not.

Well, that happens up here with the weather. I was prepared with my umbrella and jacket.
Really? Huh. You should have gotten the second episode. Guess the service is behind. I keep checking every other day or so for it.
It is good to see Jimmy back to himself. Lot less stress with being on his own and not having to worry about his folks. I'm sure Duncan will have. We'll just have to see. I hope he doesn't too.

Soggy walk to work but dry on my way home. Picked up something at a local MacDonald's for supper. Need to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

There is talk of summer snow for ski resort that is high up in the Interior. Have to see if it shows up.

Yeah. It's a ton of work. Making the most of what's left of the nice weather after the getting-sick speedbump a while back.
But I woke up to some bad news this morning...
My friend's dad went to the hospital last night. He said his leg was swollen on Thursday and yesterday he told me it had gone down. The nurse told him to keep off his feet and keep them elevated until the doctor could see him, but he still went to my friend's house to clean (upstairs... I made him PROMISE me if he wasn't going to listen to me and the nurse that he wouldn't do anything in the basement and let me handle it when I got there).
I guess his legs swelled up again and my friend's mom took him to the hospital last night. They're running some tests now.
He's a great man. I hope they figure it out and everything goes right for him.Z
My friend was still going to pick me up (since I still don't have my car) but I told him not to feel like he's obligated to go out there today just because we had made plans. He's going to call me in a while after he thinks about it.
