The Infamous Three Switches

It occured to me last night ( and again, this just goes to show how slow i am ) that those three switches wash always flips may actually serve a purpose.

for example...

1st switch - transfers control to manual
2nd switch - clears ( or stores ) any flight plan currently in memory
3rd switch - ???

Okay, so it's not a complete theory... Anyone want to take a go at this?

1: Sets Flight Controls to Manual and sets avionics to Manual Flight Mode.
2: Sets Port Engine to Manual
3: Sets Starboard Engine to Manual
