I came across this article in Giant Freakin Robot of 10 Cancelled Sci-Fi Shows That Netflix Should Bring Back Before Terra Nova. Yes, those brainiacs at Netflix want to bring back a cancelled show from Fox..........Hmmmmmmmm, let's
see: cancelled, Fox, Sci-Fi; does anything come to mind?
Well here is your list of lists - from our pals over at GFR:

Did you notice that article was more than two years old? I know it doesn't diminish the fact that Firefly is at the top of the list, but I'm pretty sure Netflix is not picking up any of those shows.

no, I didn't notice it was 2 years old. Did not pick up on that. Where was my mind at the time, don't know.
But Netflix has lots to choose from and some of the suggestions made in the article were pretty good.
In future I'll be more careful with that.

Odd. Did you mean to post the link to Dollhouse ? That's where takes me, to #2 on the list, and not # 1.

IF there is ever a return to the 'verse, which seems less likely with the passage of time, I can't expect we'll see more than only a few of the BDH's , at any one time. A solo shot here, maybe 2 or 3 together for a bit, but never the whole remaining crew, together, again.
Don't know how or where, but a brief appearance by Mal, with possibly more of someone else. The mind reels with how this may play out, but maybe even a story where Wash Jr gets filled in on who his ( or her ) dad was, and a few choice stories.

Because I am such a fan I like to believe all things are possible. Even bringing Wash and Book back from the dead. I mean common, it's TV.

Flashbacks and visions, perhaps, but not as every day walking around characters. If Joss wanted to leave any doubt, well... the point is, he didn't.

Hey I'll take what I can get.
Hey again, Heaven Knows Mr. Allison with Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr, a good war picture is now available on Netflix.

I have seen a rumor that Nathan might have a small voice role in Guardians, and it isn't hard to imagine since he is good friends with the director James Gunn. Gregg Henry (Sheriff Bourne in "The Train Job") is in the film, and Gunn has used him several times too, including with Nathan in Slither.
