So I noticed that at the end of Leaves On The Wind #1 it states #2 will be release February 14. Yet on the Dark Horse website it shows end of the month. Typo maybe? And which could it be?

Most comic releases are on a Wednesday, and Feb. 26 is a Wednesday. Since that is the day darkhorse.com has listed I feel confident that is correct.

as far as I know its being released tomorrow the 26th, such a shame its only a 6 issue mini series would love it to be a continuing comic

If this series sells well there is no reason to assume there won't be more in the future. After all, Buffy is into Season 10 beginning in March.

we can only hope that will be the case but in all honesty 6 issues are better than none, might have to re read all the comics again

But I have a nitpicky Chinese question: if the use of Chinese in the Serenity future comes from the PRC taking over, why aren't the Chinese characters in the comic written in the PRC-approved simplified style? Currently they're in the now-unofficial traditional style (official only in Taiwan). No serious aesthetic complaints—since obviously the traditional characters are much more attractive and have a longer history—but I can't imagine they would have survived any more than Shakespearean spellings have in English. A few erudite people might use them, but that's about it. (Plus, traditional's really hard to read in the tiny comic print.)

Well, the answer is that the characters are in the font that letterer Michael Heisler was equipped with, and which his assistant at the time, who was Chinese, was able to help him with. You'll notice no Chinese in the current series as Zack didn't feel it worked the same way in the comic that it did in the show, and chose not to write it in.
