Why is Sean Maher fondling himself? Could it be that he is just so damn happy to be in front of this banner. Or, could it be his coffee is spiked with roofies. I know Joss Whedon likes nuanced performances from his actors, but drugs...come on now.

And, is Adam Baldwin in costume, or is that what he wears everyday? I can't tell.

I dunno about Wash's new jumpsuit. It looks too professional. I hope he dons at least one Samoan shirt, though.

Too bad Shawna Trpcic isn't involved, but those are still very shiny costumes. I can't wait to see all the ladies new outfits.

It could be. The central print is exactly the same as his Jaynestown T-shirt. But they've adding "ghosts" of the Chinese characters on the shoulder.

It is so great to see our favorite crew (at least the male half) posing in front of the Banner. It warms the heart and brightens my day to see these pics and know that the movie is being filmed while we all view them.

It's a different style shirt that Mal normally wears, as well. Mal's usually a straight button-up-the-front guy, and this fastens off-center.

The banner was made up by the folks at the OB (official board), but a lot of people participate at both so it is kind of a combination.

And as for the pics... shiny!!!!!!!!! I can't get this BDG (Big Damn Grin) off my face

The banner was way popular among board members and the creator was asked about a smaller version for all kinds of applications. I think she said something along the lines of dealing with this later 'cuz she's exhausted (but exhilarated) by the project. Word will probably reach far and wide when Flyhead puts cursor to screen for more manageable versions.

The project was the culmination of a lengthy exchange over several months, just to winnow the ideas down to "banner." We went through strawberry cake, bobble-head geisha dolls and other stuff. Then came the detail of what objects and words to put on the banner. The process, led by Flyhead and aided and abetted by quite a few others, took the banner through many iterations, all posted and "voted" on. In the end, Fly had the final say, she being a professional graphic artist, staff artist at the company that made the banner ('cuz that's exactly what they do) and controller of the budget we raised (it was oversubscribed -- in fact, $500 plus was raised within 24 hours via PayPal and snail mail!). She was responsible for a lot of the "magic" in the design.

It all came out very well, if I might say.
