You're adopting my mantra, eh? Yup, you've read it from me time and time again; I WANT a viable two-party (at least) system...or I guess "I want it BACK"! It's never been perfect, but what it is now...what IS it now, anyway, I can't figure it out...
But I'm afraid we're going to have to wait some years yet for that to happen, and at this point nobody can say if the second viable party will be Republican, the way things are going...

So... when I was all about overthrowing the government years before you started posting here, (well after Clinton was prez, and well before Obama thrust us further down the rabbit hole GWB created) what percentage of what demographic was I back then?
I still disagreed with 70% of the liberal talking points, but I was more concerned with all of the egregious raping of individual rights that were taking place at the time than who was killing their baby.
Hell... to this day, I support your right to kill your unborn baby. I support your right to bury the last known seed to your family linage deep within a male buttox.

NH Republican Rep. Stella Tremblay Questions Legitimacy Of Boston Bombing Victim’s Loss Of Both Legs
In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing last month, New Hampshire Republican state Rep. Stella Tremblay pushed a crazy conspiracy theory alleging that the federal government orchestrated the horrific attack that left three people dead and dozens injured. She made the claim in a post on Glenn Beck’s Facebook page.
That lunacy wasn’t enough for Tremblay, however. Despite being condemned by her own party and being called upon to resign by constituents, Tremblay appeared on a right-wing radio show this week and dared to question the legitimacy of a reaction to injuries suffered by a victim of the bombing. The Union Leader reports that Tremblay attacked Jeff Bauman, a victim who lost both of his legs in the tragic terrorist attack and heroically made an effort to talk to the FBI about the suspects despite his devastating injury.Quote:
“My first gut reaction seeing the horror of that person that has their legs blown off,” Tremblay’s crazy theory began. “You know, the bone sticking out? He was not in shock. I looked and I thought, there’s something. … I don’t know what’s wrong, but it seems surreal to me. I talked to my sister, who’s not into politics at all, and she said, ‘Yes, I saw the same thing.’ He was not in shock. He was not in pain. If I had had those type of injuries, I’d be screaming in agony.”
Tremblay based her theory on a photograph of the carnage, and apparently it didn’t dawn on her that everyone reacts differently to pain, stress, and shock during traumatic events and that a picture represents only a snapshot, a fraction of a second in time.
Now Tremblay is facing even more backlash from constituents and the New Hampshire Republican Party.
State Republican Chair Jennifer Horn condemned Tremblay’s words, saying:Quote:
“There is no place for a person who would make such insensitive and abhorrent statements in the Republican Party or in New Hampshire State government. She is unfit to serve in public office, and as a result she has been banned from receiving any support from the New Hampshire Republican State Committee.”

How noble of him to come out when he's retired. At least, that's what I assume the article meant since it said "retread" in the first sentence.
I'm not huge on basketball today like I was in my late teens and early 20's but this guy never hit my radar. I can't blame a guy who would never have the income from a lucrative deal with Nike to bide his time. It's really hard to let go of that massive league minimum pay for any reason.
I hope he enjoys that fifteen minutes of fame he never got by being anything more than a below average NBA bench warmer.
I'd love to see the follow up to this story in 2017....
I wonder if Michelle will still take his calls when they've both been cast out of the limelight and are forced to remember what it's like to be just a normal person once again....

Hey, Niki, this is why we don't need Obamacare. Good Republicans can make medical diagnoses without seeing the patients at all, just by looking at a picture. The story doesn't even indicate that she's an M.D., I don't think-- I didn't read it all, just her comments. So Repubs don't even have to go to medical school to be better than doctors.
Reminds me of the Terry Schiavo case-- Republican Congressmen claimed to be able to make better diagnoses by watching video tapes 1000 miles away, than doctors on the scene.
The one thing I remember about shock from first aid training, is that it's unpredictable, it can manifest itself by almost any symptom, hot, cold, redness, paleness, just about any behavior. However any person reacts to any injury IS EXACTLY how they react to it, but there's always a reaction, that must be watched for and dealt with. That's why you send EVERYBODY to the hospital, so they can be evaluated by multiple PROFESSIONALS, over a period of time. And anybody who's lost a leg or legs, traumatically, will, ipso facto, be suffering from shock.

Obviously they don't need (or LIKE) things like science, medicine, etc., so why would they want to go to school to learn about them anyway? As we can see from our residents here, they know everything about everything--wonder if they're born that way?
