Welcome Ottoman! While I am not the source for all things 76th; you are most welcome to check out our site and see if it's something you'd be interested in joining. DragonCon in Atlanta is our basic 'home', although some of us have traveled in costume to other 'cons and gatherings. As far as your question about the 'western' front of the Independence war, many of our members have taken the official 'verse map of planets and formulated their own backstories. Take a good look around and you'll see what I mean. Check in with our leaders to learn more about the costumes and 'history' of the 76th...we're a good group of folk who are holding. Hope to see you at some future gatherings.

The group will be marching in the parade again at Dragon Con in Atlanta next weekend. You can find pics on our site or online if you're interested.

Otto, you should get approved soon, if not, let me know. I know the guy who runs the show. ;)
We'd love for you to put together a kit and represent the 76th. Marching is optional, not mandatory in any way. We have a half dozen or so in the unit that don't make the parade for various reasons or opt to join another costume group for the parade festivities.
If you decide to represent another part of the Independent forces that is okay too. So long as you're out there representing the 'Verse and spreading the word it's all good in our book.

Saturday!! Hot and humid! Don't fret Ottoman, sometimes it takes a little bit of time. See, with D*C coming up next weekend, a lot of our leaders are busy getting stuff together for that.
