Hello,

Some explaination on what this thread is about and why I started it. First why I started it, there are several of us fans from the O.B., that is the Origional Board that Fox put up when Firefly premiered, way back in 2002(I think thats the right year), as some of you may know they recently took our board down and without any warning that they were going to do so,(they work for Blue Sun!). We miss being able to post about our favorite man, Mr Adam Baldwin and we miss not knowing what each other was doing. We escaped to Face Book, which we also think is owned by Blue Sun and it finally dawned on us that the best thing to do was start our old thread anew here, I have been here since 2005 and some of the others have been around as long,we stayed over there (the O.B.) hoping by doing so that the board would be kept alive, but you know Fox. When the O.B. was going strong both Adam and Nathan posted all the time and Nathan even posted his 7 Layer Bean Dip receipe over there, it was awesome to post to them and have them post back, Adam was always in the RL threads and kept it real hot in those threads.
Some of us are 'in the know' as to what Adam is doing these days, and we post any news/articles about him in this thread, some of the ladies can find out stuff long before it hits the inter webs. This is not just for us, feel free to join in, tell us how you feel about the awesome Mr B, and also about the man they call "Jayne".

I love Adam, in a brotherly way of course

We don't see eye to eye politically, and we butted heads on a couple of threads on the OB years ago, but I totally respect the man and his principles.

Lucky enough to meet him in Dallas a bit less than a year ago and he was all smiles, happy to be there and meet the fans. When I went for the photo-op he's the one who greeted me warmly with a solid handshake when I entered the booth. I felt like a hobbit standing next to him and I'm 6' tall.

He's got a TNT movie in production called "The Last Ship." It may or may not be heading to series, but hopefully it will get more of a chance than ABC gave "Last Resort."

Hey dude! Glad to see you post in the new thread! Thanks for that information about Adam's new project, and I agree lets all hope it's given a chance.

I agree with you Adam is so kind and down to earth when you meet him, I even got an O.B. Bear Hug from him when he was here in Denver, only the ladies from the O.B. get a Bear Hug, well I haven't hear of anyone else getting a hug except us from the other board. And you are right about him being a tall man! Its so cute that when you get a picture with him he scrunches down so he's close to your height and the picture looks better. With me that was a lot of scrunching, I'm only 5' 1" tall, I have met over half of the stars from the show and Adam is the most fun, he came to our groups shindig and had a few beers with us, and went outside and smoked a fine cigar that one of the guys gave him. Just a real sweetie to be around, he even wanders around the con without so called 'body guards', talks to folks and is a great person all around.
Not many like him.....

Adam is HOT!

He didn't scrunch down for my picture, but I suppose it was because he also wanted to tower over Ron and Sean.

Oh yea that is a cool picture, I see you got Sean in there, can I ask where that was taken? Sean is one who (I heard)doesn't 'do' cons very much. I have a group shot of Alan, Jewel & Mark, it was taken at a Creation "Serenity" con 3 yars ago, Vex (Verse Explorer) and I went together to that one. Thats also the one that Nathan was suppose to go, but at the last minute the studios sent him to Canada for something to do with "Castle", but he had made his 7 Layer Bean Dip and Alan brought it from Nathan's house and it got auctioned off anyway, for $300. After the auction, Cindy and I were roaming the halls of the hotel and we found the guy who bought the dip in the lobby of the hotel and I asked if I could have a bite and he was kindly letting folks have some and I got some, I almost yelled "I got dip made by Nathan", but I kept it to a soft roar. Eveybody around me laughted at me, but I was happy. I do wish Nathan could have made it, he is another one thats hard to get to see.

I'vr had the pleasure of meeting Adam several times, both in the UK and USA. He's a sweetheart!
