I do want to add this, though. I've been noticing a steady drumbeat of reportage about this (the international minimum tax), most especially the NYTimes and WaPo. And it's led up to today's explosion of news items (which may continue into the future). So I'm noting that.
But it's not the amount of reporting alone that strikes me, it's that there's no criticism ... or even any level of discussion ... about it. It's like the Iraq War drumbeat. Or the Syrian War drumbeat. Or the RUSSIA!!! RUSSIA!!! RUSSIA!!! drumbeat. Or any number of propaganda campaigns' drumbeat we've been subjected to over the decades.
When it comes to this particular agreement, I think we'd all like to see the wealthy help carry to load ... well, maybe the wealthy wouldn't, but the rest of us would. So the idea of figuring out a way 'how' would naturally be appealing to a large number of people. A G7 minimum tax could be a very popular idea indeed. But as you pointed out, the devil is in the details, and most people don't have the stomach, or the time, or the background, to work through the details. Ultimately, what makes this a 'good idea' or a 'bad idea' is whether or not it'll do what's PUBLICLY intended.
This PARTICULAR agreement aside (which seems like a bad idea, since it will probably not achieve its PUBLICLY stated goals), when it comes to the topic of international agreements in general, I personally have a hard time figuring out where to draw the line between an acceptable infringement of national rights, and an unacceptable one, since afaik, ALL international agreements inevitably limit some national rights.
Nuclear treaties, for example, limit national arms, positioning, etc; but imo, they are good things.
So I don't think international agreements are in and of themselves basically bad, even if every one of them could be cast in a 'one-world-government' light due to the limits they place on nations.

And so on. So, that's one thing to look for, to ferret out propaganda, is the lack of EVIDENCE.
Another thing, which I've noted here, is the lack of substantive discussion. I don't think they m$m has to work very hard to get most Americans on board with the idea that rich people should pay more taxes. So they just put this idea out there without the multiple claims, stories, etc needed for the other narratives.
But the idea that EVERYthing from the m$m should be rejected off hand isn't a particularly discriminating one, because it throws out the stuff that has substantive evidence behind it.

Everything they say is a lie. Everything.
All you need to do to verify that is watch CNN and then watch FOX News for any single discussion and you will see very different and very biased lies coming from either side.
Nothing they say has even a facade of objectivity to it.
