Rush never did. He said one disparaging remark about one individual woman. While making a JOKE. Rush isn't an elected official, publicly stating his views that an entire group of people, should have their shops closed down, and then replaced, whole sale, by another group of people. Who's to say the GOP can't? It's the voters who choose, and if they insist on choosing a racist crack head like Barry, then Jesus himself could run on the GOP ticket, and the D.C. voters would STILL vote for Barry.

A lot of why Barry is still in D.C. government is down to D.C. not having any real ethics laws. Last year, Councilman Harry Thomas was convicted in Federal court of funneling over $300,000 dollars from a city-funded youth program to buy himself cars, SUVs, motorcycles and vacation trips. The city had no legal means to fire him for this, and had to ask him nicely to resign.

Mayor Vincent Gray is currently under Federal investigation for receiving thousands in illegal campaign contributions, and using some of them to pay another candidate in the last mayoral campaign to slander the then-mayor Adrian Fenty.

Various other council members are also under investigation for campaign or money improprieties.

Barry has been convicted of possession of crack, failure to pay income taxes, and has put his foot in his mouth more times than a baby trying to see if its toes are tasty. The voters in the 8th Ward regularly return him to the city council with a 90% majority.

Marion Barry is a complete dickhead; WHY the people of the 8th District don't vote him out of office is a mystery, I wish someone knew the answer, it would be interesting to know, if for no other reason than out of curiosity why people would keep someone in office who has proven himself to be patently unworthy of holding office.

Statements such as the one he made are unconscionable and do not reflect either party, as members of both parties have been guilty of that kind of thing from time to time. It's is reflective of HIM, as a complete C***sucker, nothing more, nothing less. Who here wouldn't decry such a statemen, WHOEVER it came from?

If there's nobody, might I suggest we are in agreement on that point, which is the point of the thread, and that "I am, but what are you?" is a stupid waste of time. JMHO
