My problem with the organic shooters was one of mass: In Spider-Man 2, when he saved the runaway subway train, it seemed like he expended several times his own body weight in webbing!
In the 90s TV version of The Flash, they made a big point of Barry Allen's heightened metabolism, which required him to eat huge amounts of food whenever he over-exerted himself.
The Raimi Spidey never addressed that issue. I mean, Peter's basically ejaculating from his wrists, so there has to be a limit on how much he can shoot.

But tons of webbing coming out of tiny little canisters makes sense? If it's coming from inside him for all we know he's got a second stomach sized organ just storing the chemicals to shoot web. It could be much bigger than the tiny little canisters in the mechanical web shooters.

No, neither of them make a lick o' sense when you try to actually explain them, but that's the cool thing about comic books, huh!

Hello,

In the absence of good sense, I usually embrace the explanations that seem least ludicrous. Since I already have to embrace implausible biological mutations due to a spider bite, I see no need to compound that with additional implausible scientific devices. If one suspension of disbelief covers both, it's the better route for me.

See, that to me is an even better reason to have organic webshooters. If they're organic - at least there is some sort of conceivable explaination - that his body just produces it quickly. If they're mechanical - he'd need a backpack full of goo to make sense of such events.

Definitely not a fan of the costume. It reminds me of the live action show from the 70s. Not really feeling this flick at all.

Hello,

It might be a little bit better than the 70's one.
