How many movies have you seen?(estimation)

I feel your movie viewing pain, Ec!
In the five years I ran that video store, I previewed nearly every movie we got, in-store & at home. If not for that job, my estimation of 8-10,000 might be 2/3 of what it is.

Maybe 4 to 6 in a theater per year and that is only in the last ten or so years. Before then, maybe 1 to 3 per year. If that.
Now if you count the ones watched at home either by over the air or recorded on various media it would be in the many thousands.

Mine would be a lot lower if it wasn't for the store as I too got to watch all the previews. My mate, Jaz, who owned the video store didn't have time to watch them all so he passed them on to me. I would give him my opinion and he'd use that as a basis to work out how many copies to order.
A large portion of the films from that time were seen with the timecode somewhere on the screen and 'This Is The Property Of...' messages popping up occasionally.
Sunday afternoons were always slow and I could usually get through at least one film with the only customers being the ones dropping off Saturdays rentals.

If you include theatres, drive-ins (yes, I remember them!), rentals, dvd purchases, Hulu and Netflix I would say I have to be pushing the 10,000 mark. Course I've been around awhile too.
