Okay, I'm there.
I mean, it won't be as good as Army Of Darkness, but then, what really COULD be? Still, I'm enthused!

I'm pretty sure this won't happen but it'd be cool if Bruce made a cameo - maybe as the head of the organisation behind it all.
As for the trailer it started off very cliched (deliberately of course) and I wasn't too impressed but then I glimpsed that forcefield and it was WTF? What followed convinced me I was that I too would be watching this, and not just because of Joss.

The trailer for Cabin in the Woods has electronic jamming of GPS signals, invisible force fields that vaporize, a secret control room buried beneath the cabin. Could this movie be about Doctor Who's Cybermen establishing another beachhead on Earth? I just saw, last night, “Closing Time,” where the Cybermen crash centuries ago and a shopping mall was built above their buried spaceship. I was wishing the mall became a radioactive crater when the Doctor destroys 'em all after closing time, but it didn't happen because it's merely children's TV. But R rated movies can go places where kids cannot.
Maybe Crater in the Woods can satisfy my very adult cravings for death and mighty explosions? The trailer has a bridge blowing up, so I am very hopeful there will be more, and bigger, bangs from Joss Whedon.

To me, it looks less "forcefield" and more "holodeck wall"...

Holodeck is even better than force field! After the last character is killed in Cabin in the Woods, they awaken on Enterprise because it was all a dream. Or is that too cliché for the movies? I know it was good enough for TV.

Nope. Officially not interested anymore. Looks very stupid, and very NOT scary.
Damn. I was really anticipating this too. Looks like The Woman in Black will be my only horror 'must see' for next year.

Im tempted to check. Have had the script for years now, but have never read it. Of course, I never thought it'd take this long to come out.

As I hear it, two fairly big deal cast members (Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins) don't even show up in the trailer. That's says something - there's plenty of story to be revealed.
I don't go out to the theater often (I prefer my sofa and big TV) but I'll venture out for this one!

There are movies that are okay to be spoiled a little bit on. This is not one of those movies. See nothing, including the trailer. Read nothing. Go in blind. The last 30 minutes of THE CABIN IN THE WOODS is an experience that I'll treasure forever. This is a must-see film when it opens in April. Because it's probably going to be one of the most talked about genre films of the year. - www.aintitcool.com/node/52240
