The Verse In Numbers has been updated to version 2.01. There were some small additions and corrections from the last version.

We're already working on another update, so we're naming asteroids in the HALO belt around WHITE SUN. Anyone wishing to name an asteroid should drop the names here. Please see the VIN for examples and the region names in HALO where you'd like the asteroids placed.

This is absolutely wonderful work. Thanks for all your work on this project, and thanks for posting the links. I hadn't been using this before for story writing, but I certainly shall!

Quote:Mr Universe's moon needs a nickname. I like Sygnus.

Yellowjacket also liked Sygnus, when he wrote:
Quote:After Reavers crash-landed there because of the big space battle with the Alliance, the moon became known as Sickness, the alternative pronunciation of Sygnus. It is the most dangerous place in the Universe. The population is no longer zero; it has an unknown number of Reavers hidden in its abandoned mines and uranium ore processing buildings.
I'll put that in the hopper for the next update of the ARC as well. I like the name. www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=2&t=50808#879695
TVIN-2.01.pdf has two names for Mr Universe's moon :
Cortex Relay Station Ring 2 - Station 2E
A/2260(White Sun)r25m9
Those are not so easy to remember as the nicknames Sygnus / Sickness.

That's one I thought I'd already changed. I'll get it into the next version.
The two names that exist now are the official Alliance Designation and the scientific catalog number, but I'll add in Sygnus.

Quote:For inspiring stories, the population of Sygnus is no longer zero with “Mr. Universe (deceased).” There is an unknown but very large number of Reavers marooned on Mr Universe's moon.

Think of the possible stories that could be told. It is the one place in the 'Verse where you are guaranteed to see Reavers. It is a wildlife preserve where the tigers eat the tourists.

I would like to name one in Hippolyta's Belt after may mom. Judith N., she passed away earlier this year. The numbering does not matter.

I'll be sure to add it in. Thank you.

If you would like to name an asteroid, please include the name you'd like to be credited under.
So far we have Archangel Station, Tora 371 and Judith N. for new asteroids in Halo.

For mine you can credit using my real name, Matthew A. Nickerson.
Thank you, Yellowjacket.
