Yeah, a real tale of woe. And while due anger is directed to those who played that game, the real anger should be directed at those in D.C., who allowed, hell, all but forced it to happen.
And let's not forget those who were stupid enough to take on mortgages which they HAD to know were well beyond their means. Those who took out loans ( for homes or education ) which were too much for them to handle, and yet they did it anyways. They had better options, yet they chose the 'easy' solution. And it bit them, in the end. Why should the rest of us be stuck picking up the bill of those who made bad choices ?

Isn't the whole Occupy movement really Howard Beale leaning out his window and shouting, "I'M MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!" 35 years later, without quite understanding exactly WHAT they're mad about, or exactly WHO they're mad at?
First step is realizing you're mad, and accepting it. Then you figure out who and why. Then you do something about it. It's early days yet.

DC did not force it to happen. They did however allow it with the repeal of Glass-Steagle act and other banking regulations, you know the GOP mantra of de-regulation.

You mean the ones that were told they would be able to refinance into a fixed rate mortgage before the rates change. You know the people that where lied to just to get loans out the door so they could be sold.
Oh, and we have no choice but to clean up the mess investors left us. It is not going to just go away.
