Can you still enjoy Firefly as much as the first time you watched it?

I used to keep the whole DVD set in my computer backpack and watch them on the airplane trips.
I saw several of the epis so much that I started noticing shortcomings in line delivery, etc and so I backed off...wanting to simply keep the overall impact of the show, rather than drilling down to details like that.

But I think what has slowed me the most isn't the fault of the show, or even the lack of episodes, but that watching Firefly as a DVD collection got me started with other series. I honestly had never owned a TV show set before that and I found that I really enjoyed watching multiple episodes sans commercial interruptions..so moving on to Boston Legal, Castle, Eureka, Sara Connor Chrons, Chuck, has mostly displaced my re-watching of Firefly.
I also felt guilty for subjecting my family to the series over and over and over again..so now I pretty much keep my illness to myself and load up a couple fireflies on my iphone for plane rides.
but in all, no...absence makes the heart grow fonder so I just don't watch em as often, but I still miss those people aboard Serenity.

Yup definitely. I'm always up for another go. The same happens to me with Gargoyles. These two tv series by far...my biggest obsession! I also like Kamen Rider and Super Robot Red Baron, but I always get back to re-watching Firefly. I just wish there could be something along the lines of Rocky Horror Picture Show's re-enactment but Firefly-wise. Wouldn't that be awesome!? Everyone shouting the lines and stuff. Would bring back the FF community up for sure...maybe it's a crazy idea, i'll just dream about it, haha.

Got through the pilot episode just fine, and now enjoying The Train Job thoroughly. Guess I was just having an off day. This show is phenomenal.

Easy to forget what a shining star it is, when you lay off for a while.

I might have off days when a particular episode doesn't make me smile before I put it in the dvd player. On those days, I just watch a different episode and feel all shiny again.

Yes, I miss them too. So much so, that whenever I hear of any of them appearing elsewhere - I'm there. Not just to support them, but because I miss them and mostly their TV character.

When Mal donned his now-famous duster and pistol on Castle, I went nuts. I was, "why can't they get them all on that show in a type of murder mystery in a mansion; a la "Clue."

I'd buy that for a dollar.
