Sorry I went all distracted when you mentioned Wesley. . . . . .
If you want proof that Joss can make anything hot, though, I'd have to go with Giles. A middle aged, British, high school librarian? Not exactly your typical sex symbol and WOW. (As a library science grad student, I appreciate any portrayals of librarians that aren't little old ladies shushing people. That we got someone as cool and attractive as Giles is just icing on the cake).
As for the Buffy and Angel polls, if you don't feel like reading through the almost 300 posts on this thread, 'mom said she would, once she'd watched them. So we have to encourage 'mom to watch more TV!

Announcing MY OPINIONS: (...trumpet blares...)
1) Gunhand shouldget a vote for the marriage proposal.
2) Neroli and Gunhand need to GET A ROOM. 
3) Mal needs to have more votes than Jayne. Period.
4) Someone needs to serve me some jell-o shooters right now. (fyi: I tip my bartenders and waitrons very well)
5) Mom needs to get her ass in gear and watch Buffy and Angel! (said in a nice way, of course!)
6) I need to be sent to my room for speaking to Mom in that tone of voice. Because I said so, that's why!

delia, i'm a librarian here at school too, and i have to agree, giles did more for our profession than i could have ever imagined. we're sexy too, damnit! 
mom, you should definitely watch more tv, especially tv that is joss-involved. adam baldwin is on angel right now and he wears suits! if you need more incentive than that, i'm not sure i can help you. we need a different thread though, because this one is getting so big it takes five minutes to reload for me.
also, i'm very flattered that my marriage proposal is getting so much attention. i should propose more often!

GOOD JOB ON YOUR FINALS! You make me proud! And you're right, this thread is too long. (That's why it' ending after Mother's Day) But it looks like an Angel and Buffy thread needs to start!
