Baking a cake today. Turned out it was a flourless cake. I'm not confident it turned out, we'll see tomorrow.

The filling involves orange curd (which I made last night) and mascarpone.

PS: It's hot.

I've been a bad person, I've been forgetting to check in here.

Not that I've had a whole lot to contribute. Just been sitting here, chillin'. Literally. Apparently the east side of the US decided to be hotter than really hot fire this month. A/C is a good invention.

Also, does anyone know a phone company in the USA that do pay-and-go SIM cards, and they won't reclaim your number after a few months of inactivity?

I don't expect they exist right enough, but I thought I'd ask.

No. But our new phone number has a WA area code because it's through the internet. (I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.)

I know that Google allows phone calls through the interwebs and they have a limited number of area codes, so it could be them or some other company...

Aren't you glad you're not teaching here then. (I am...) School started for public school teachers on Tuesday (with yesterday and today furloughed), and public school kids start Monday.
