As to the double posts Magons; I was having that problem a lot too before I switched over to the beta version. I also had the problem of hitting the key to put up my post only to have the error message, then go back and post it AGAIN, which caused a double post! Same thing as Mike mentioned. It started happening a while back, out of the blue, so maybe you’re having somewhat the same problem, I dunno.
I don’t hear the Nancy = Ann thing, usually it’s Nancy = Nan, and tho’ I have heard the Margaret = Meg thing, more often I hear Margaret = Marge. The Harry and John thing I hear a lot, our John F. Kennedy was referred to as Jack a lot. I have trouble with my name, as people misspell it almost invariably, because it usually comes from Nicole, whereas for me it comes from Nikovich.
PK/DT; it’s a waste of time being offended by PN. One of his main PURPOSES here is to offend, so letting him know he succeeded is beneath you. I just ignore him, I put his sickness down to sickness and let it go at that. Saves me a heck of a lot of time, not reading his bullshit...much less RESPONDING to it! Betcha he doesn’t even read most of the time, just sees the subject and splatters the thread with his ugliness.
PK, of course he’s a little prick, you’ve surely known that for ages. He doesn’t believe in anything, he hates everything/everyone, and is only here to spew his hate. Have you ever seen him express ANY belief in ANYTHING? That should answer it for you...letting him get to you is like letting Kane get to you, just a waste of energy. I wouldn’t be surprised if h WAS saying they never got married...wouldn’t know because there’s no way I’d read all through any of his posts, but anything’s possible, given his mentality.

Well I'd kind of reframe that into, 'we're all the descendants of folk'. Some folk have managed to get themselves a name in their life, sucked up to some kingly type, stolen lands off someone else, killed a lot of other folk, discovered and exploited a natural resource or aquired a fortune some other way and their descendants have profited from their 'success'. That is all class is, prick us and we bleed the same substance. Go back far enough and our ancestors were digging around in the mud like everyone else.

Well I watched a little of it, saw that short kiss. I heard that Kate has something resembling noble blood somewhere way back and that's why he could marry her without abdicating.
I see a lot of value in tradition and ensuing comradery. Tradition has a place of honor in my own life, possibly because I don't do well with change and I like familiar things, but also because I enjoy the continuity of it.
