Welcome MCS0083. Here's a genuine script for an episode that was sadly never filmed - I believe parts ended up in other episodes (more like mini concepts did) but I think if you read it you will agree that it has that Firefly magic and would have made for an excellent episode in its own right:

Dead or Alive - is the ep name, if you ever lose that link you can always google it, there are a few places to find it (thx to TWO for the above link).
Also, in terms of fanfic there's a collection from a really outstanding group of writers (who happen to be fans) that can give you a sense of what it may have been like had the series continued. They wrote in script format to keep the feel the same and post their work here:

Wow everyone! Thank you so very much! Jewel is definitely my favorite as well Toad. I loved her in Stargate Atlantis too, but Kaylee Frye was the best! And Anonymous, the link for the first comic on MYSpace took me to Mass Effect Incursion, but the second one worked fine.

Jewel (and the writers of course) did an amazing job creating such a lovable character, no matter what roles she does in future, she will always be little Kaylee to me. Besides, she reminds me of an old girlfriend of mine back in college (30 years ago), "one that got away" as they say.
I'm glad my wife doesn't read this site! haha I'd have some repair work to do after that revelation.

Well, here's #43589 arriving on board, just as we're getting in a new selection of ice planets, and the most recent batch of Mudder's has left crock for jug.
MCS0083, have a strawberry, filched by yours truly from the most elite market on Persephone, grab a jug, and come over by the coat locker for the best in virtual fits-all browncoats.
The it's up to the galley to meet more people and question the buffet.
The ice planets are in the cooler, bottom shelf.
Oh, and don't put your feet under the aft end of the buffet table.

That's how it happened for me three months ago. I'm totally hooked.
While Christmas shopping, I found myself in book stores and Best Buy turning any Firefly/Serenity materials to face outward, hoping that someone else will find them.
I'm visiting my parents for a few days. We finished watching the last two episodes a few nights ago. Tonight we watch the BDM. Mom has made noises about buying the two seasons of Castle....
