If you're unaware, The Naked Gun movies were based on and preceded by TV series called Police Squad, which is as good if not better. Alas, it was too good for TV and killed after only 6 episodes were produced... same old story.
I highly recommend tracking down the videos if you haven't seen it. Or, even if you have.
