Hello everyone ! This is my first time posting. I don't know if this counts as a moment, but my two year old daughter and I were playing outside when she saw a butterfly, except she didn't call it a butterfly it was a "firefly". She refuses to call them anything but fireflys now because of how it made me laugh. She also knows the theme song to firefly. I sing it to her all the time.

Oh that definitely counts. I've been reading a book lately entitled "Spring Moon: A Novel of China" about the Chinese period of acclimation to the more western cultures. The chapters often open with poetry, songs, historical tidbits, and Chinese tales, which is where I read about a buddhist convent that was in danger of closing its doors:

I found myself spending some time wondering how much Inara "sends home" from her own business transactions before I started reading that chapter. Puts a certain sense of nobility on her profession, don't you think?

Im not making this up, but the other day I was on campus at my college and was walking around the corner of the Medical building (we have a large medical school on campus) and there were two guys standing outfront of the building wearing suits with bright blue rubber gloves on. I just about soiled myself.
Probably would have if they hadn't smiled, then taken off their gloves and lit up a smoke.

my daughter had a firefly moment yesterday.
she went to the natural history museum. there is a huge scale display of town (cincinnati) from the past. she said the volunteer kept gathering everyone around for a once-every-seven-minute event. he was very excited, wouldn't say what was going to happen, and made everyone wait.
the event, a burning house in the middle of town starts smoking.
my daughter thinks to herself "that little man loves fire." :-)

Caught my 9 yr old son eating an apple off a knife the other day like Jayne did in War Stories, I'm sure it's the only place he can have seen it. Must have been quite determined to get the apple on the knife as it was an ordinary table knife, not a sharp one.

Oh yeah, I live in Atlanta, GA. Just north of town, there's a county...Cobb County. No longer will I see a sign w/ Cobb in it and not think of our Hero of Canton....
