Okay, the first was the best, however, what 'Planet of the Apes' films did you enjoy, and why?

The only great movie after the original was Beneath The Planet of the Apes. It's one of the best sequels to a great movie ever made, a classic on its' own.

Beneath is a great follow up(would have been better if Chuck Heston would have done the whole film). It was actually the first Apes film I watched.
Escape, Conquest, and Battle are fine. I just don't watch them nearly as much as the first two.
As for the new film coming out.....why? Why an Origin story? I will be skipping it like I wish I skipped that Tim Burton travesty.

Late arrival at this post I guess….. Still, yeah the first was the best and I don’t think can be matched. Well possibly but it would take some doing. Anyway Heston and Serling certainly a couple of my favorite entertainers nowadays……. Can’t comment much about other POTA movies or tv shows. Guess I’m bias about the first and don’t know much of the others.
Why did I like it so much?
Guess it’s the whole human vs. the odds type thing that interest me. We face the unknown yet are able to learn and figure out what we need to do. So I guess I’m optimistic that the human race will live on and one day venture out into the verse. Maybe returning later to the Earth as aliens……I don’t know.

Quote:Another reboot? Superman, Batman, Spiderman now Apeman? Why can't they reboot Firefly? I'm not sure how I'd feel about a whole new cast but it may be worth a shot?

AND the first Ape movie I saw. I was confused a little, but absolutely fascinated!!!Quote:Now that Sonisall is into it, I must say that I've seen Battle as many times as the first two.

I read it would be a sequel to the existing movie series.
Okay, NOW I read of the origin s**t.
Whatever.

And every copy of that Tim Burton mess should be burned to save peeps from suffering as WE did.

Quote:Sad to hear. It's a cool series, full of bizarre weirdness in the second film, and cheesy SF goodness in the last three (Particularly "Battle" IMO).
