I hate to say that rebuilding a classic car is a bitch, but it's a bitch. Have some $ in your pocket if you have plans. I know a guy who's rebuilding a Cuda' with a 273, not cheap. And I told him the 273 is crap! The MOPAR 318 is a great work horse motor, the 273 is crap!! He can sand blast that thing untill he gets cancer!! The rear glass is worth more then that car!

Also, a 'Cuda with a 273? Blasphemy! Any self-respecting 'Cuda needs a 340 or bigger. A 318 is a fine engine, nothing wrong with it, but a 340 is a legend.

Yeah, I was one of the ones who found it BEYOND ugly. I remarked at the time that it was the only vehicle ever rejected by the military based solely on its looks. Its proportions were all wrong, the front end didn't match the rest of the car, the back end didn't match the rest of the universe; it had a look that told passers-by, "Look! I built it in my own garage!"
But I did like how, a couple years in, they added a small spoiler at the ass end to give it a little flair. ;)
Yes, it can hold a lot of stuff. So can a van. Form should follow function. If you're looking for a big box to stuff all your shit in, buy a big box to stuff all your shit in. A Pontiac Montana comes to mind. Or a GMC Savanna. They aren't pretty, but they look like exactly what they are: shit-haulers. And they don't compromise that mission by trying to add a "fastback" profile in a vain effort to sport things up.
