They're not even criminals until they do something wrong!" Judge Martinez didn't seem to agree, and sent Fredericks to be detained, "for an indefinite period."
In a later interview, the Judge expounded on his viewpoint. "The problem with America is all these people who sympathize with evildoers. From now on, I'm not letting any defense attorneys in my court. This apologism for rape, murder, and other heinous crimes has got to stop. Did you know that most of the people who come into my courtroom are guilty? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see which way the wind blows. Defending these creeps simply delays the swift progress of justice."

Y'know, the only person I've heard propose stonings for religious purposes in THIS country is a GOP Congressional candidate out of Oregon...
Meanwhile, Rappy blatantly ignores the ritual gang rapes, beatings, mutilations, murder of homosexuals, and more that go on in many "Christian" nations in Africa. And contrary to what some have tried to claim, many of those acts are driven PURELY by religious motives, by religious leaders, a great number of whom are linked to the GOP through "The Family" and the C-Street "church".

You seem rather touchy. I am happy to discuss this on your terms.

I never did this, incidentally. I reviewed the Quran. It is simply that almost any generality that can be said about the Quran can be said for the Bible as well. That wasn't clever or parody. That was unvarnished truth. You may also want to note that the Quran is the 'New, New Testament," which encompasses the mythology of the Old and New Testaments (while editing and altering bits.)

Well, I'm glad you remained skeptical in any event. I try to link to real articles when I quote them. Sometimes I forget.

Here's the bland version: Just because someone defends the rights of a person doesn't mean they are advocating anything about that person other than the mere fact of their rights.
To suggest otherwise is very Mccarthyist. It's exactly why everyone was loathe to defend accused Communists, or even suggest that a mere belief in Communism wasn't necessarily dangerous or un-American. The moment people made any such suggestion, they found themselves under the barrel of the accusation-cannon.
I don't know a lot about the accused Communists who fell under Mccarthy's scrutiny, but I know that Mccarthy himself was both wrong for his crusade, and displayed the epitome of Un-American behavior.

Calling him a demagogue is insulting, that's like calling a town crier one, there's a difference between reading a script and actually knowing how to wind people up, and the latter requires a competence wholly lacking in this case, therefore on the face of it, that attribution is false.
