Starcraft 2 and Firefly

Has anyone else here played the new Starcraft 2 game? and if so are you struck by similarites of dialogue and music to Firefly?

I am loving watching the cutscene animations, very Fireflyish :)

I saw a few things that seemed a bit Firefly themed. Wouldn't surprise me if there was some inspiration. I've heard they have a few Firefly themed items in WoW.

Overall I was not a big fan of the story in SC2 though. The gameplay was great, but the story seemed like a whole lot of filler and a very little snippet of story.

I heard something similar, which is too bad, because the first StarCraft had a really engaging story. Guess Blizzard has all their good writers working on WoW still, and were banking on SC2 being a multiplayer hit.

It's strange to me because they had to have a ton of internal play throughs. Seems like they'd have to be full of yes men for it to have never come up.

There's still two more campaigns in the expansion though. So, maybe this is just the first step in a much better story.

To me the terrans were never all that interesting in the first place. So, the zerg and protoss campaigns could prove much more interesting.

Not sure about the overall story but I liked watching the cutscenes. They seemed independent of each other but some of Raynards lines had me laughing out loud.
