In order to HURT the bastards, you have to understand them, in much the same fashion that in order to blow the supports out from under a bridge, you gotta know how that support system works in order to find the weak points.
Why waste our blood and treasure, waste the lives of our troops, going about it in such a halfassed fashion ?
Most of their foot soldiers are, like ours, young fools who got roped into it cause they didn't know any better, those can be stolen away with mere words, if you understand them well enough to do it - leaving the assholes with no one to carry OUT their intent, save themselves, and lots of angry people who don't like em a whole lot.
It's not that simple, of course, but the general concept is why waste one american bullet, one american life, that we do not have to ?
