I found myself in the unfortunate circumstance of losing one of my best friends to septisemia last week.It was a massive shock to me and i was at aloss as to how to keep my mind from it. Do you know what,my firefly boxset was beckoning to me and I watched it from start to finish over copious amounts of wine and green. It was a wonderful escape and cheered me up no end. this is how special this little show is to me. thank you Joss Whedon and rest in peace Barry Hankinson. I loved you as a brother and you will be sorely missed.xxx

I am so sorry for your loss, one of my 'old' friends has a cancer in the brain. I am worried that we will loose him,...but at least we have a small amount of warning. I feel the 'surprise' deaths are the hardest, you have to process everything at once, so hard to do. I understand how watching the show does help to escape....I know your friend appreciates the wine & green you had in his memory, thats how I would like my friends to 'celebrate' my life. I think it (the show) will remind you of him, every now and then. Goodbye Peacekeepers friend Barry! you will be missed:(

Peacekeeper, I'm sorry for the pain you're feeling just now. We all meet back and forth thru existence I believe, so it's never good-bye, just "later."
