Good article by Linkins...I particularly enjoyed his Firefly reference concerning the Shepherd :
'...Joss Whedon's "Firefly" clearly intended Christianity, in the form of the frontier pastor Book (yes, his name was literally, "Book") as the moral foil and societal tether of Whedon's gang of libertarian rebel-cowboys.'

I was a bit uneasy with Cameron's sing-around-the-tree Na'Vi neo-paganism , but saw it for what it was: A reference to the New Age Gaia environmental tree-hugging religion of our present times...

Jonah Goldberg at LA's newspaper clearly lacks imagination and has an abundance of free time...Perhaps in the new year , he will choose to grow up and get a real job .
