L-O-V-E Ted...and his scientists. The Veridian Dynamics commercials fooled my husband at first. Too funny.

And I believe it did get renewed but don't quote me on that.

Another Ted watcher here! Been following since the beginning, and while it CAN be slightly patchy from episode-to-episode, it's definitely worth watching every week! Glad to hear it (probably) got renewed!!

Managed to avoid the Burn Notice spoiler as well, I'm only up to Season 2! I assume there was a spoiler anyway, if not, all good!

Oh, man, this is my favorite sitcom of all time! I like it even better than Big Bang Theory!
Lem & Phil are the two greatest scientist characters I've ever seen.

And there's plenty of great clips on YouTube!

Here's the one they aired after the show got preempted for an Obama speech...

Hadn't seen that "President" one before. I laughed out loud a couple times!

At any rate, I was just reading how this show was renewed despite very low ratings. The ABC execs had enough faith that the show had great possibilities and could possibly grow by leaps and bounds.

Hmmmmm . . . . kinda makes you think that maybe Fox should take a few pointers from ABC, huh?

This is, more or less, what I was addressing in the "Shows cancelled by Fox" thread. ABC had faith in this show, so they aired it perhaps when no other network would. Low ratings be darned, they decided to renew it because of the show's potential. Now, this doesn't mean they'll renew it for a third season or even that they won't cancel it in the second season because of ratings, but at at least they're giving a show they believe in a decent chance to thrive. And I, for one, think the writing and the acting deserve that.

"It's okay! I'm a leaf on the wind!!!"
"What does that mean?!?!?!"

I certainly agree with your sentiment, and I'd like to believe that a network would make such a call based on purely "artistic" reasons. But - and perhaps I've simply spent too much time lurking in the RWED - I wonder if the renewal isn't rooted in more pragmatic soil. For example, while I don't know how much Portia, Jay, & Co. are getting paid, I suspect that otherwise the show is comparatively cheap to produce - seems like most of the action takes place at Veridian HQ, and they don't have to shoot many car chases and explosions. Could be that it's most cost-effective to let it ride another season - if it takes off, great; if not, oh well...

I'm trying to recall what it's up against in that timeslot, but I got nuthin'.

Of course none of that takes away from what we've been saying here: It's one funny freakin' show!

EDIT for bad sin tax...
