I think it just means that he likes the character and still supports the show. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I agreed with you at first... but then that looks like standing infront of a Green Screen in his BC gear. Most people don't have those at home, and even if they do they usually only do that when they're being FILMED.

I'd be willing to bet money that the picture is a behind-the-scenes picture from Serenity, especially considering that he's wearing the exact same wardrobe from the film.

Plus, if he was actually filming a new show/movie, by the time production progressed to the point where the actors were on set in front of a green screen, news of the sequel/series restart would be everywhere.

Are you talking about a specific comment he made on twitter or his latest profile pic <- 7/19/2009 currently looks like Mal in front of green screen. Little bit ago it was Dr. Adam Mayfair from Desperate Housewives.

Of course you are 100% probably right... but he did just change his avatar to the new one and the comment is a bit cryptic... and it's just fun to speculate.
