I'm with you on that. I love BONES but there's not many shows I would give up for CHUCK. And unfortunately I don't have DVR. So I have to live with my decisions.

Well I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. This news sounds reasonably sound but it conflicts with just as reliable(possibly more so) news about the word on cancellation/renewal coming around a week from now.
I can see WHY they'd want to cancel Chuck, it doesn't perform so well. Seriously though they don't perform very well as a network, and judging from their shows it's got to be for another reason. Possibly advertising, most likely scheduling. I'd not be adverse to seeing Chuck moved to another night, especially if it was pitted against shows with different demographics and genres. It'd hopefully keep nearly all it's fan base(one of the few perks with cult shows) and even more hopefully gain viewers disinterested with the shows on other networks. Shows like Jericho taught the execs and co. a valuable lesson, which is not good for us, loyal fans do NOT equal good ratings.
Anyway, like I said I'm not getting my hopes up at this news. Keeping my fingers crossed, thinking positive and stomach full of footlongs... but my feelings in check, so I don't get hurt like I did that last time a show I loved was canceled.
