Fair enough, but I don't mind. At least this time I'm keeping away from the official forums until I've read it, seeing as how last time there were many threads discussing it (including three separate ones whinging about Harry's choice of lover, one each from a Harry/Elaine, Harry/Susan and Harry/Murphy shipper).

I may have been earning $45+ per hour after midnight, but I'm glad to be home from work nonetheless.

*raids the biscuit jar as well as the Dew cooler and heads for a shadowy corner to lurk in and enjoy the start of a public holiday*

Mmmm, and a can of frosty cold Dew. It's been a few months. I think I earned one.

Yay, the gov'ment stimulus check arrived. Now to work out what to spend the $900 on (and given that return trips to London are currently going for $1100, the idea of a shopping trip to the Camden Markets is rather tempting).

Have you been to London before? One of my co-workers was sent there twice so far for work stuff. Kinda jealous about that. Especially since they made him bring over a scanner instead of me. The closest I've been is... um... an airport in Shannon, Ireland maybe?

From what I've heard of your work meetings, I can see you doing an extensive risk/benefit analysis.

As for travelling, never been out of the country before, but seeing as how airfares are dropping rapidly (this global meltdown is good for something, at least), methinks it's worth looking into. As for the world tour, I'd be happy to accompany you across the globe (although I suspect my henching will be more along the lines of schlepping swag).

This is why I refuse to buy "new" games at gamestop. Everyone calls me crazy when I refuse to buy a "new" game that has been opened at gamestop.

Wow, seems strange. Out of the plethora of public holidays we get here, this is one of only two days each year when everyone (except some petrol stations) close down.

*-- Enters and grabs a seat at the bar --*

Barkeep, A pint o' the good stuff. Had a good day today.

After six months out due to her Cancer, Today, Rose (The Girlfriend) finished her first week back to work.

Later, stopped at the store to pick up milk, bought a $5 scratch off ticket and won $100 (jumps up and down) Perfect timing too as I found a car for sale locally on craigslist that I can afford.

In two weeks I'll have my own wheels again!!!! (Jumps up and down for a second time. No more borrowing Rose's minivan)

Car's far from perfect but for $425 I can't complain. It's got a valid state inspection till November and isn't a rust bucket. I'm good.

Now that I'll have wheels again it might be easier to find a JOB!

That would make my week...

Barkeep, another pint!!

@_@ *insert exasperated sound here*
i wasnt *trying* to be condescending!! christ, i just think that kind of--shit, i dont want to say mentality, but i can't think of the word ><;;--thing, behavior, what have you, is funny. excuse me for being the outcast in school who used to watch people fawn all over the 'hot' people in school and wonder what the big deal was. granted, those people were shallow, and i know RF is *not* shallow at all and was just making a passing comment, which i thought was cute, but i just think the progression of the whole psychological/physical attraction among adolescents is a bit comical. i don't know why, and i'm not trying to be hypocritical because yeah i like everyone went through that phase, i was just never an active player in that network. wow.
and yeah, i didn't want to say 'high school drama' because it's NOT really high school drama. the way i witnessed it, that kind of drama is something completely different from what was mentioned, but i couldnt think of a term to put to it, and my tone was never meant to be taken *that* way.
