Well, there's more to the story though.

Apparently, the character Fred dies, but the actress (Amy Acker) won't be leaving. Fred's body is going to be taken over by some demon or something like that.

Doesn't really make me feel much better, I liked the character of Fred, but hopefully Joss knows what he's doing.

Man am I glad there is a thread for this so that I can whine. I too was horribly spoiled while looking for FF movie news.
