TPTB have also done the twitter analysis and see that more people are watching old Firefly reruns than any drama on their nielsen list, and so have hired the cast of the show on 6 different shows to increase viewership. Just a wacky notion.

I still favor the talent expands to fill the void theory, but I thought I'd mention this one since it occurred to me.

It's a conspiracy theory man. Of course rumors and speculation are taken as fact in conspiracy theories. Therefore Alan is on Dollhouse. Just wait and see. If he's not then they digitally removed him to throw us off their trail!

Since that's just a rumor (quite probably well-founded) I didn't count it. When he does appear then that will make seven. But I wouldn't be surprised if Joss re-shoots those scenes with another actor to punish Alan for spilling the beans.
