I've been wondering if the so-called "final five" aren't Cylons in a very different sense then the other 7. Maybe these final five are biologically human, but reincarnations of Cylons from Earth (hey is reincarnation any weirder than downloading consciousness?).
Lots of talk on Adama being the dying leader, but I'm not sure I see it. That would be the biggest bait-and-switch of all time!

Who is it that you think I loathe? I don't recall crossing paths with you and I don't feud with anyone on this board. My comment was aimed at the billions of people on this planet who regularly (mis)interpret religious texts to fit their own agendas.

From all indications Ellen is in fact the final Cylon. She should be making a reappearance next week if the previews aren't intentionally misleading the audience.
The last two episodes were very strong. I would have preferred a slightly different outcome to the Zarek/Gaeta coup. At least they didn't go out sniveling or whining, in fact they both seemed quite content at the end.

I couldn't agree more with the ending to the whole Gaeta/Zarek coup story arc. The ending felt a little rushed, but I liked that they met their fate with what seemed to be to be assurance that they were in the right. Plus, the series creators are being very brave in looking so unflinchingly at what happens to people under the sorts of pressures that these guys are under. I'm really looking forward to the next few eps.
